ANTENA, an Erasmus+ project that focuses on the internationalization of higher education in the Philippines, will conduct a 5-day online training and workshop on 15-19 June 2020 on Information Communication Technologies and Strategic Planning for International Relations Officers as part of its capacity building thrust.  University of Alicante, with Ateneo de Manila University as host, will take the lead in organizing the virtual training activities that will be participated in by representatives from the ten Philippine partner institutions and the Philippine Commission on Higher Education.

The series of training and workshops will have complementary objectives that will help build the capacity of the member IROs.  The training on ICTs to be held on 15-16 June 2020 will focus on the relevance of ICTs as primary tools to ensure effective virtual presence and its applications in the different internationalization initiatives especially during the post-Covid-19 pandemic when mobility programs have shifted to virtual platforms. The ICT Training will be facilitated by the University of Alicante.

This relevant change in the internationalization landscape brought about by the pandemic calls IROs to revisit their strategic plans to address the new challenges of the period. It is with this objective in mind that the Strategic Planning Workshop on 17-19 June 2020 will help enable and equip IROs to acquire the instruments and techniques in analysis methodology, in order to craft an actionable strategic plan for internationalization. The workshops will be facilitated by European Foundation for Management Development.

The Internationalization of Higher Education in the Philippines --- ANTENA project, is coordinated by the Universidad de Alicante, Spain and is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Program of the European Union.
